Step Ladder tutoring program kicks off tomorrow at Kewanee library

Through generous community support, the Step Ladder Summer Tutoring Program will begin on Tuesday, July 2, at the Kewanee Public Library.

Tutoring sessions are from 1 -2:15 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays of each week during the month of July.

The Step Ladder summer program serves Kewanee students who have completed the sixth grade entering seventh grade, seventh graders entering eighth grade, or eighth graders entering ninth grade.

The summer program will focus mainly on math and reading. Students can participate in the summer sessions and during the school terms for a total of three years. They will receive free school supplies at the end of the summer session and supplies throughout the school year as needed.
