KEWANEE, Ill. – Small businesses with little or no means to advertise now have a place to go. The Kewanee Voice has introduced a new Business Directory section on its website, designed to support small businesses with limited advertising resources.
This section enables independent contractors and small business owners—such as painters, handymen and roofers—to promote their services while assisting residents who lack access to social media platforms to find needed-contractors and services.
The idea came from an email from a reader who faced difficulty finding a contractor due to her absence on social media platforms.
Nichelle Morey, marketing director for The Kewanee Voice, highlighted the new directory’s value, stating that “it will simplify searches and help small businesses more readily connect with customers.”
Listings are categorized by services, including painting, plumbing, and repair work. Ads cost $100 for a six-month listing. Businesses interested in advertising can contact Nichelle Morey at advertising@kewaneevoice.com or call 309-489-2721 during business hours, Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
