Four lucky K‑Town Yard Sale hosts will be waking up to more than early‑bird shoppers this year.
The Kewanee Voice is partnering with Scooter’s Coffee to deliver hot coffee and donuts to four randomly selected yard sales on Saturday morning. Any resident who advertised their sale through The Kewanee Voice classified ads is automatically entered for the surprise delivery.
Scooter’s will provide 96‑ounce coffee boxes—along with cups, napkins and a bundle of mini donuts. Between Scooter’s staff and The Kewanee Voice team, the deliveries will be made directly to the winning yard sales as shoppers begin making their rounds.
This marks the second collaboration between The Kewanee Voice and Scooter’s Coffee. The local shop also donated coffee for the newsroom’s first‑ever Local News Day Open House, keeping visitors caffeinated as they toured the office and met staff.
Winners will be chosen at random from the list of Saturday yard sales advertised on The Kewanee Voice website and the winners should expect their delivery around 8:30 a.m.
“So, if you’re hosting a sale and listed it with us, keep an eye out,” said Paula Kapacinskas, Voice board member. “Your morning might come with a fresh box of Scooter’s coffee on the doorstep.”
The K‑Town Yard Sale runs Thursday through Saturday, April 30–May 2, with Food Truck Saturday shaping up to be the busiest day—and now, possibly the most caffeinated.
