Capone was brought to the shelter on June 30, along with his two best friends who were all found abandoned and helping one another to survive. Employees and volunteers describe him as an almost perfect dog with hardly any flaws.
Capone is known as a hero at the shelter. A few weeks back, one of the employees had a minor fall outside and he was an essential part of getting her inside and finding care for her. He is a highly intelligent dog and is a very quick learner.
Following commands with ease is one of Capone’s best traits. He has a tendency to tug on the leash while on walks, but he is steadily learning that it is not acceptable.
He is very playful, especially with other dogs and even kids. He loves being outdoors on nice days and never barks at strangers. Capone always keeps a very calm attitude no matter what chaos might be going on around him.
He has a super good appetite, especially when it comes to being rewarded with peanut butter treats. A good bone will also keep him occupied for hours.
Capone has been neutered and microchipped. He has an appointment on Aug. 17 to receive his rabies shot and to be updated on his other vaccinations. He also has been flea-treated and dewormed.
If you are interested in adopting this near perfect canine, stop in at the shelter anytime during visiting hours or give us a call at 309-852-0040. Adoption fee is $100.
