It’s time to start decluttering, sorting and pricing those treasures because The Kewanee Voice is bringing back the citywide K‑Town Yard Sale this spring.
The second annual K‑Town Yard Sale will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 30–May 2. Residents who want to participate are encouraged to place an ad on The Kewanee Voice website, which will also put their home on the official yard‑sale map used by shoppers to find sales across town.

Participants will receive:
–An online ad on The Kewanee Voice Classified section
–A spot on the citywide map (available both online and in print)
–A yard sign to help advertise their sale
The full advertising package is available for a $20 donation to the nonprofit news outlet.
And yes — Food Truck Saturday is back.
Office Manager Janie Metscaviz has already lined up several mobile restaurants for the event.
“So far we have five possibilities and three confirmations,” she said.
Food truck vendors interested in setting up on Saturday can contact Janie at metscavizj@gmail.com.
While Kewanee’s citywide sale is still a relatively new tradition, it follows the success of similar events in Annawan, Geneseo, Atkinson and other nearby communities.
More details will be shared as the event approaches, but for now, mark your calendars and plan to take part in a fun weekend of buying, selling and exploring K‑Town.
