
Save-A-Lot customers who generously rounded up their change for Abilities Plus raised a total of $1.579.60, the organization announced.
The grocery store roundup campaign is an annual event that raises money for the nonprofit organization with the mission of serving individuals of all ages with disabilities. Founded in 1959 with a class of seven childrren, Abilities Plus now serves approximately 250 children and adults from Henry, Stark and western Bureau Counties.
Abilities Plus thanked the Kewanee Save-A-Lot employees who organized and promoted the fundraiser.
“A huge thank you to all of the generous customers that donated to this cause,” the news release said.
