State Representative Travis Weaver, serving Illinois House District 93, announced the launch of his 2026 Community Clean-Up Project. The project is dedicated to promoting environmental awareness by encouraging students to collect and properly dispose of litter.
“The 2026 Community Clean-Up Project is a creative and fun initiative to preserve the beauty and well-being of our communities,” said Weaver. “By working together, we can protect our environment and ensure a cleaner, healthier future for all. I encourage all to participate, including local school groups and classes.”
Students must have parent or guardian permission to pick up trash in a location of their choosing. Participants are invited to document their efforts by submitting photos of themselves with trash they picked up. Everyone is invited to participate, and students who complete this project and submit a photo will receive a Certificate of Service from Rep. Weaver.
All students who fill a standard kitchen-size trash bag with litter should submit a photo to communitycleanup2026@reptravisweaver.org. For more information, please visit Weaver’s website at www.repweaver.com or contact the District Office at 309-204-6514.
The project began the week of April 13, and will continue through Friday, May 22.
