Princeville Heritage Days a success despite the heat

Warm weather didn’t keep folks away from this year’s Princeville Heritage Days, hosted by the Princeville Civic Association – PCA.

The multiday celebration kicked off Thursday evening with a performance by the multi-talented Chris Delbridge, who not only entertained the crowd but also managed sound and lighting for the event. The evening continued with a community sing featuring performances from local churches and set the tone for the weekend.
Friday featured a performance by participants from Vacation Bible School, followed by one of the festival’s most anticipated events—the Football Player Auction—which drew a crowd and competitive bidding.

Saturday offered something for every age with face painting, rock decorating and a magic show. Live music from bands “Live Plants” and “The Incredible 45s” entertained the crowd.

Dennis and Jane Stoecker served as parade marshals for this year’s parade. Parade winners included Lifewise Academy, Country Financial and Wyoming Vet.

Throughout the weekend, the PCA held nightly $100 drawings, with 155 entries submitted. Lucky winners included Mandy Kistner, Adam Bender and Adam Will.

The Cutest Pet Contest raised $563.56 for the Princeville Food Pantry. Meanwhile, Saturday’s 5K race attracted 57 runners ranging in age from five to 72.

Hunter Keister claimed the overall win with a time of 17:40, while Bethany Sennett led the women’s division at 20:58. The race was coordinated by St. Jude Princeville to Peoria runners, and all proceeds—including custom shirts printed by Princeville Prints—were donated to St. Jude.
