Another great weekend forecast sets the stage for the area’s many events and activities.

Saturday is hopping with everything from scenic drives, sporting events, a music festival, fundraisers and even the popular Haunted Bakersville Hayride at Baker Park in Kewanee. So load the family into the car and head out – the only problem will be which event to attend.

Friday, Oct. 3

Kewanee Boilermakers Varsity Football vs Mendota at Mendota 7 p.m.
Annawan Wethersfield Titan Varsity Football vs Stark County at Annawan FB Field – Annawan Homecoming 7 p.m.
Galva Wildcats Varsity Football vs Biggsville West Central at Biggsville 7 p.m.
Trivia Night to benefit Cambridge Natural History Museum at the Bishop Hill Creative Commons, 309 N. Bishop Hill St. in Bishop Hill at 6:30 p.m.

Kewanee Farmers Market 8 a.m. to noon, Berrien Park
Geneseo Farmer’s Market 8 a.m. to noon, Geneseo City Park
Knox County Scenic Drive– self-guided tour with eight official stops featuring artisan vendors, antiques, family friendly activities, food and much more.
Spoon River Valley Scenic Drive Fall Festival– over 100 miles with 19 official stops featuring vendors, food, live entertainment and historic sites 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Third Annual Walk for Angel Babies– 1- 2 p.m. at Galva High School – Lunch, Bake Sale, 50/50 Raffle and live auction in school cafeteria from noon – 3 p.m.
LaFayette Railroad Music Festival-404 Commercial St., LaFayette 2 – 5 p.m.
Freedom House “Gimme Shelter” fundraiser 5-8 p.m. at Lavender Crest Winery 5401 US-6 Colona, Ill. Proceeds to benefit a new shelter in Kewanee.
Bakersville Haunted Hayride – Baker Park from 4 p.m. to midnight.
Central Elementary Football – Central Orange vs. Central Black – 1:30 p.m. at KHS Stadium
