KEWANEE WEATHER

Out & About this weekend, July 31-Aug. 2

By Diane Tucker    July 31, 2026
The Incredible 45’s set to play next Thursday at Veteran’s Park.

The upcoming days look to be a little lighter for entertainment options, with a few good exceptions.

Chicago Farmer

Saturday evening, Crossroads Cultural Connections will present The Chicago Farmer at the Ca d’Zan House Concert in Cambridge. There will be a community potluck at 6 p.m. with the concert starting at 7 p.m. A goodwill donation is appreciated.

Sunday evening, head to Galva where the Levitt AMP Concert Series will present Platinum Moon and Seo Linn from 6–8:30 p.m. in Wiley Park. With only two more weekends left in the series, this weekend is a good time to take in the great music and enjoy the milder summer weather.

Looking ahead to next week: Tuesday looks to be the day for families with Farm in the Park and the Kewanee Police Department’s National Night Out. Farm in the Park takes place in Veterans Park in Galva from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families will find a petting zoo and numerous crafts and activities to keep the children entertained.

Later that evening, the Kewanee Police Department will hold their National Night Out in Northeast Park in Kewanee from 4:30–10:30 p.m. The event will showcase a custom car show, free swim at the Oasis, a movie in the park and free hotdogs, chips and drinks while supplies last. Also on hand will be local resource vendors and Touch-a-Truck featuring vehicles from the police and public works departments.

Thursday evening, head to Veteran’s Park in Kewanee and see The Incredible 45’s at the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Concerts in the Park series from 6:30–8 p.m. The FFA food stand opens for service at 5 p.m.
