Coping with the loss of a loved one can be an incredibly challenging journey, but a new support group launched by OSF HealthCare Saint Luke Medical Center, means you don’t have to go through it alone. The Life After Loss support group is a bi-monthly group that is dedicated to providing solace and companionship for individuals dealing with grief.
“The Life After Loss support group provides a welcoming and confidential space where participants can share their experiences and emotions with others who are coping with the loss of a loved one,” OSF HealthCare stated in a news release.
The group will be led by experienced facilitators from OSF HealthCare, and the sessions will offer empathy, understanding and practical strategies for navigating grief. Participants are invited to join the Life After Loss support group that will meet on the first and third Friday of each month at 10 a.m.
Sessions will be held in the south conference room at OSF Saint Luke, located at 1051 W. South St. in Kewanee.
“We understand the profound impact that loss can have on individuals and families,” says Caitlin Mason, facilitator of the group. “Our goal is to create a supportive community where individuals can find comfort and healing as they navigate their grief journey together.”
