A Kewanee man was cited for multiple offenses after a routine traffic stop in the 100 block of Payson Street led to a high speed car chase with police. The traffic stop occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
Luke A. Washburn, 26, Kewanee, was arrested for aggravated fleeing and eluding, improper lane usage X3, eight stop sign violations, disobeying a traffic control device, speeding (80/30,) driving while license is revoked, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving the wrong way and reckless driving.
Washburn was issued notices to appear in court.
