Aspen’s Delights’ window is open for business at 813 E. Street, offering an assortment of ice cream flavors.

The Chamberlains, Joe and Tina, opened the new business a week ago on August 11, and named their ice cream parlor after their granddaughter, Aspen Moore. Joe Chamberlain said that he had an ice cream machine sitting around for years and had always wanted to put it to use. With the north side of Kewanee not having any options for the summertime treat, he decided to make it happen.

Options are available to customers who visit Aspen’s Delight. They can either eat their sweet treats at a picnic table provided to customers or take it home.

Also located at Aspen’s Delights is Joe Chamberlain’s other business E.Z.T. Gaming. Chamberlain said he hopes to keep Aspen’s Delights open year round, and possibly serve food and hot drinks during the winter months.
