There’s even more to look forward to at this year’s K‑Town Yard Sale, the second citywide event of its kind, and new details are being announced for participants, food‑truck fans and out‑of‑town sellers.

This year’s weekend yard sale event will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 30–May 2. Residents who want to participate are encouraged to place an ad on The Kewanee Voice website, which will also put their home on the official yard‑sale map used by shoppers across town.
Yard sale participants may now begin bringing their ads directly to The Kewanee Voice office at 121 N. Tremont St. Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ads placed through the office will appear in the Voice Classifieds and secure a spot on the citywide map, which will be available both online and in printed form.
Participants will receive:
–An online ad in The Kewanee Voice Classifieds
–A spot on the citywide map (online and in print)
–A yard sign to help advertise their sale
The full advertising package is available for a $20 donation to the nonprofit news outlet.
Food Truck Saturday will return as part of the weekend, and several vendors have already confirmed their participation.
Food trucks scheduled so far include:
Covenant BBQ
Uncle Bud’s, located in Sutton & Assoc. Realty parking lot
Top That, located in the B & B parking lot
Aztecs, located in the B&B parking lot
Farmer’s Smoke BBQ, at the Save‑A‑Lot parking lot
Phatboys BBQ, at Wiebler’s Harley-Davidson
Additional vendors may be added as the date approaches.
Out‑of‑town sellers who wish to participate but do not have a local address may contact The Voice office for limited space in designated parking lots. They may also reach out directly to Janie Metscaviz at 309‑489‑2721 or email her at metscavizj@gmail.com for placement options.
Food truck vendors interested in setting up on Saturday may also contact Metscaviz for details.
