Another round of wintry weather has forced area schools to cancel many of tonight’s scheduled activities.
That also means that school athletic directors have been left scrambling to reschedule them (when possible). The following is a list of the recent cancellations and postponements.
Wethersfield High School
• Tonight’s boys basketball at Biggsville against West Central will still be played. The game will start at 7 pm.
Annawan High School
• Tonight’s boys basketball game at Monmouth (United) will still be played. Start time for the game is 7:30 pm.
Galva High School
• Tonight’s boys basketball game against Stark County has been rescheduled for Wednesday night (Jan 23) at 7:30 pm.
Kewanee High School
• Tonight’s KHS boys basketball games at Brockman Gym against Princeton (Coach Lewis Night) has been rescheduled for Feb 13. The freshman game will be at 5:30 pm in Good’s Gym. The sophomore game will start at 5:30 in Brockman Gym and the varsity game will follow at 7 pm.
The previously scheduled game on Feb 13 against Orion has been cancelled. The conference game against Princeton takes precedent over the non-conference game against Orion. Coach Lewis Night will be held during the makeup game against Princeton.
• Tonight’s KHS girls basketball game at Princeton has been rescheduled for Feb 3. The frosh-soph game will begin at 5:30 pm and the varsity game will follow at 7 pm.
The previously scheduled game against Oregon on Feb 3 has been cancelled. The conference game against Princeton takes precedent over the non-conference game against Oregon.
• Tonight’s girls bowling meet against Galesburg at Pinsplitter Lanes in Princeton has been cancelled. No makeup date has been scheduled.
