In early August, Lola was surrendered to the shelter all by herself. Employees are unsure exactly how she got there, but she quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite.
Lola is very sweet and playful and she loves it when someone takes the time to interact with her. She even loves to be groomed, which is good because as a long-haired cat she requires frequent brushing.
She enjoys playing with all of her toys and watching her roommates running around. She hasn’t been in too close of contact with other cats yet because she hasn’t been fully vetted. Staff feels confident that once she is vetted, she will be quick to join in on the fun with the other cats.
Since first arriving, she has steadily put on weight, and now has an appointment to be spayed, microchipped and receive a rabies vaccine. She has already started getting her kitten distemper shots and has recently been flea-treated and dewormed.
Lola is undoubtedly one of a kind with her distinctive markings and little permanent stockings. This tiny, frisky feline would be a perfect fit for any family.
If you are interested in meeting Lola, call the shelter office at 309-852-0040 or stop in anytime during visiting hours. Adoption fee is $60.
