Here are the many activities and events over the next week in Kewanee:
Saturday, July 1: Cernovich’s Fireworks display on Red Adams Road. (Parking will be in the field north of the large building.) Fireworks at dusk, and Uncle Bud’s Cider Slush will be on onsite.
Tuesday, July 4: Francis Park Fourth of July Celebration will feature a car show, tractor display, craft/flea market and food vendors. The event runs from 9 am until 3 pm.
Tuesday, July 4: Kewanee Fireworks Spectacular, with presenting sponsor Petersen Health Care. Northeast Park activities for the day are a free swim at the Oasis Family Aquatic Center from noon to 6 pm. The presentation of colors by the Kewanee Veterans Council will be at 7:30 pm, with music following. The fireworks display begins at approximately 9:30 pm.
Thursday through Saturday, July 6, 7 and 8: Kewanee Sidewalk Sales: Participating stores include Breedlove Sporting Goods, New View Furniture, Heartfelt Florals, Johnson’s Hub and Jessie’s Closet.
