BISHOP HILL — Twenty local authors will take part in the sixth annual Bishop Hill Book Fair, representing genres that include children’s literature, history, young adult fiction, romance, mystery, memoir, poetry and horror.
Participating authors are Allen McCaulley, Amanda McNeill, Carol Paur, Dan Moore, David Gullstrand, Debra Borys, Grace McCormick, Jacob Mundy, Jannifer Powelson, Jill Ryan, Karen Musser Nortman, Lea Anne Guettler, Mary Davidsaver, Matthew Marchand, Mike Bayles, Nadine Roth, Sharon Meisenheimer, Robert Glaser, Sue Rovens and Thomas McKay.
The event offers attendees an opportunity to meet local writers, learn about their recent work and purchase books. Authors will be available to sign copies.
Organizers say the fair may also be of interest to teachers and librarians seeking to connect with authors for potential school or library visits.
Admission is free. A portion of book sales will support Cultural Crossroads Connections, a nonprofit organization that promotes arts and cultural programming in Henry County and the surrounding area.
