The Kewanee wrestling team competed in the Seneca Irish Invitational meet Saturday and placed fifth out of 17 teams.
Clifton Central High School was the overall winner with 270 points. Kewanee scored 131 points on the day.
Benjamin Taylor (5-0) took first place honors at 138 lbs. Kingston Peterson (4-1, 113 lbs) and Alejandro Duarte (3-1, 215 lbs) each placed second. Placing third at 132 lbs was Chance DeSplinter (4-1).
Hunter Vancil (5-2, 126 lbs) and Waylan Lambert (3-3, 157 lbs) each placed fifth on the day. Daniel Boswell (4-3) was sixth at 285 lbs.
