
The Kewanee volleyball team picked up a conference road win Thursday night at Spring Valley. The Boiler Girls defeated the Hall Red Devils in two sets, 26-24 and 25-16.
The Boiler Girls also won the sophomore match, 27-25 and 25-14, and the freshmen match 25-18 and 25-11 to complete the sweep.
In the varsity match, Emma Ellenberger and Tejhiana Amos led the attack at the net with 7 and 5 kills. Aaliyah Duarte and Avery Yepsen each had 3, Macee Pickering 2, and Jillian Bennison and Marlee Bates added one apiece.
Dishing out 11 and 6 assists were Pickering and Yepsen.
Taylor VanWinkle, Bennison and Bates led the defensive effort with 6 digs each. Pickering and Yepsen added 5 and 4, respectively. Duarte and Ellenberger chipped in with 3 and 1.
VanWinkle, Pickering and Bennison each had 4 service points. Yepsen and Ellenberger had 3, Aleijah Willis and Bennison added 1 a piece.
Ellenberger and Pickering each recorded 2 aces. VanWinkle, Bennison and Willis added had one each.
