On Tuesday, the KHS volleyball varsity team won in two sets against Mendota High School, 25-15 and 25-17, making them second in the Trac East with a record of 7-3.

Between sophomore Macee Pickering’s nine assists, senior Aaliyah Duarte’s four aces and five service points, and junior Kendyl DeBlieck’s two aces and service points, the Trojans never stood much of a chance.
Senior Tejihiana Amos put the Boilers further ahead with five kills, and Macy Anderson supported the cause with four kills.
The strongest defense on Tuesday night came from Duarte, who had two amazing blocks, and junior Claire Taylor, who successfully made six impressive digs. DeBlieck also gave Kewanee another block.

Kewanee sophomores went undefeated in the conference after their win against Mendota, 25-15 and 25-17.
Kewanee freshmen also went undefeated in the conference after winning 25-18 and 25-14.
Boiler volleyball will return to Brockman Gym on Thursday, when KHS hosts the Rockridge Rockets. It will be Senior Night, and Duarte and Amos will be honored.
