Kewanee’s cross country team got a first and a second in the meet they hosted Thursday at Chautauqua Park.
The Boilers’ Jendaya Crowe was the first girl finisher in a time of 23:55. Other Kewanee runners were Esmerelda Martinez 10th, 28:45; and Tiffany Helton 15th, 39:19.
Galva’s Charlotte Farmer placed 13th at 33:11.
Finishing second for the boys was Hunter Vancil of Kewanee with a time of 20:13.
Kewanee’s Jason Rusk was 13th at 21:59 and Anthony Padilla was 18th at 23:20.
For Galva, Bryant Jeffrey was 19th at 24:09 and John Clemons was 27th at 28:58.
