On Monday, Kewanee High School’s girls golf team traveled to TPC Deere Run for the Geneseo Maple leafs invite.
“Deere run is where they host the John Deere classic, a great experience for our girls,” Coach Brett VanDeWostine said. “This is by far one of the toughest courses that they will see in their high school careers.”
Sophie Hamilton and Charlotte Burkhart completed the entire 18 holes, and had fun on the course. Sophie shot a 129, while Charlotte shot a 143.
Two nine-hole golf meets for the girls are scheduled this week.
