Kewanee High School’s sophomores placed fourth, and the freshmen sixth, in an 11-team frosh-soph track meet in Geneseo.
Individual standouts on the sophomore team were:
Lain Thomas was the winner in the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes 5.16 seconds.
Chris Crowe took first place in the high jump with a jump of 1.92 meters and topped the field in the long jump at 6.43 meters.
Damareon Thomas was second in the 400 meters at 54.16 seconds.
Evan Cleaver’s time of 20.20 minutes was good for third place in the 110-meter hurdles.
Kewanee’s team of Damareon Thomas, Lain Taylor, Chris Crowe and Alex Barron placed third in the 4×400 relay with a time of 3:48.37.
Damareon Thomas was fifth in the triple jump at 10.92 meters.
For the freshmen, Adriann Bermudez placed fifth in the 100 meters at 12.26 seconds and fourth in the 200 meters at 24.73 seconds.
Dillon Ruzas placed fourth among the freshmen in the discus with a throw of 33.78 meters.
Kamari’s jump of 5.44 meters was good for fifth in the long jump.
