Kewanee weekend police blotter for April 26-28

Friday:

An animal was impounded in the 200 block of East South Street.

An animal at large was impounded in the 1200 block of East Third Street.

A damage-only traffic accident was reported in the 400 block of East Third Street.

An animal was impounded in the 800 block of Columbus Avenue.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, telephone harassment in the 400 block of East Third Street.

A 15-year-old male juvenile, Kewanee, was arrested for possession of cannabis by a minor following a report of cannabis, possession less than 10 grams in the 1200 block of East Third Street. He was given a juvenile referral.

A domestic disturbance was reported in the 1000 block of Rose Street.

Police responded to a report of domestic battery in the 400 block of East Third Street.

Alex C. Vandevoorde, 20, Kewanee, was arrested for DUI A1, DUI A2, failure to reduce speed to avoid accident, and reckless driving following a traffic accident in the 1000 block of Cambridge Road. He was given a notice to appear.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance, neighborhood trouble in the 300 block of Freedom Lane.

Saturday:

Police responded to report of criminal trespass to vehicle in the 100 block of South Elm Street.

Police responded to a report of aggravated assault in the 200 block of East Seventh Street.

Police responded to a report of theft in the 700 block of Tenney Street.

An animal at large was reported in the 200 block of North High Street.

Police responded to a report of animal abuse and neglect in the 500 block of Willow Street.

Casandra J. Crane, 39, Kewanee, was arrested for criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to residence following a report of criminal damage to property in the 500 block of Fifth Avenue. She was transported to the Henry County Jail.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, telephone harassment in the 500 block of East Third Street.

Dawn A. Chasteen, 35, Kewanee, was arrested on Henry County warrants for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia x2 following a report of an in-state warrant in the 800 block of North Vine Street. No bond was posted and she was transported to the Henry County Jail.

Brian K. Salz, 47, Kewanee, was arrested for aggravated assault x3, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, and resisting a peace officer following a report of a disturbance, fights-riots-brawls in the 800 block of North Tremont Street. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.

A domestic disturbance was reported in the 100 block of Lakeland Terrace.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, telephone threat in the 1100 block of Rockwell Street.

Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Lakeland Terrace.

Sunday:

Police issued a written warning following a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Main Street.

A written warning was issued following a traffic stop at Second and Elm streets.

Melvin L. Shine, 66, Kewanee, was arrested for domestic battery and interference with the reporting of domestic violence following a report of a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of West Prospect Street. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.

Skylar M. Summy, 20, Kewanee, was cited for allowing a dog to run at large following a report of an animal at large in the 700 block of North Union Street. He was given a notice to appear.

Police responded to a report of retail theft in the 600 block of Tenney Street.

Police responded to a report of animal abuse and neglect in the 600 block of East Eighth Street.

Police responded to a report of a juvenile disturbance in the 300 block of East Prospect Street.

An animal was impounded in the 1000 block of Cambridge Road.

A domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of North Lexington Avenue.
