The Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Concert in the Park Series will open its 2025 season on Thursday, June 19 at Veterans Park. The 10-week series of live music kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
Music will once again be sponsored by Arcadia Health Care, State Bank of Toulon and Lincoln School Veterinary Clinic
A food tent operated by Kewanee High School FFA opens at 5 p.m.
“It’s hard to imagine that this will be our 29th year at the park.” said Mark Mikenas, executive director of the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce. “We hope people will come out and enjoy the free concerts; the park has plenty of shade and always seems to have a breeze.”
Every year the concerts feature a wide variety of music offering something for everyone’s taste. Mikenas is asking those who haven’t experienced the free concerts to make an effort to come out this season and bring a friend.
Opening the series will be the Jim Markum Swing Band. The concert series runs every Thursday through August 21.
