Police assisted the Henry County Sheriff’s Office in the 1600 block of North East Street.
A traffic accident involving vehicles operated by William J. Minton, 63, Kewanee, and Martha V. Gamez, 47, Bettendorf, Iowa, was reported at Sixth and Tremont streets. No injuries were reported. Minton was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was given a notice to appear.

Police responded to a report of animal abuse and neglect in the 200 block of East South Street.
Rodney M. Smith, 33, Kewanee, was arrested in the 200 block of North East Street for criminal trespass to state-supported-land and possession of ammunition by a felon. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.
