The Kewanee Firefighters Local #513 is preparing to tee up for its annual golf playday set for next month.
Firefighters are inviting the community to join in on a fun day of golf. Last year the firefighters donated $7,000 to local charities. This year’s goal is to aim even higher by hosting the golf playday. One hundred percent of proceeds go back to local charities.
The KFD is seeking hole sponsorships or raffle prize donations to help support the cause.
Hole sponsorships are $50 each, and there is no limit to the number of holes to sponsor. Each sponsorship includes a sign with your company logo or custom text displayed on one of the 18 tee boxes at the tournament.
The entry fee for a team of four is $340, which will include golf green fees, a golf cart and a meal after the round. Participants can reach out to Andrew Welgat to get a team registered, or mail in a check with the registration form. Checks are made payable to Kewanee Firefighters Local #513.
This year’s playday will be held at Midland Golf Club at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 25. For registration, sponsorship, donations and any other questions, contact Andrew Welgat at 309-883-0363 or email at iafflocal513@gmail.com.
Kewanee firefighters would like to give a special thanks to all the individuals and businesses who supported the cause last year and would like to thank everyone in advance for the continued support for these charities.
