The Kewanee Elks Lodge had a great weekend, May 20 and 21, taking home several awards and recognitions from the Illinois Elks State Convention.
The Gerleman family was awarded “Family of the Year” for the state. In addition, the Kewanee Lodge also received “All American Lodge” for its division, and placed third for Illinois Children’s Care contribution.
Aidan Early from Annawan was Kewanee lodge Male Teen of the year for February and moved on to win district and “State Male Teen of the Year.” Kaylee Celus of Annawan won Female Teen Of the Month for Kewanee’s lodge and moved on to win the district and placed second at the state level.
Kewanee lodge also had a winner for a drug awareness poster contest. Kaitlynn Ballard advanced to win first place in the state.
