Kewanee Chamber looking for Outstanding Citizen nominations

Last year’s Outstanding Citizen award went to Dave Clarke. Presenting the award was Diane DeMay with the Ambassador Club.

The Kewanee Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for this year’s Outstanding Citizen. The Outstanding Citizen award is a great way to honor an individual or group whose efforts have contributed to the community and enhanced their quality of life.

Criteria for nominees is as follows:

1. Resident or former resident of Kewanee

2. Areas of service should be well known to the community

3. Personal community service in areas such as: education, charitable business, government, Chamber of commerce, senior citizens, youth, disabled, environmental, economic development, community relations and heroic acts.

4. How service may have been demonstrated:

· By solving a significant problem.
· Longevity of excellent service to the community.
· Helping others: youth seniors, disabled etc.
· Improving understanding of community concerns.
· Exceptional efforts in community service

Nomination applications can be picked up at the Kewanee Chamber or found online at Outstanding Citizen Award – Kewanee Chamber of Commerce.

All nominations are due by Feb. 28, 2025.
