The Kewanee Area United Way is opening up its grant application process. In order to be considered for funds, the organization seeking a grant must align with the KAUW’s mission of increasing the organized capacity of people to care for one another.
In order to apply for the grant, the organization requesting funding for the upcoming 2024 grant year must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and must fall into one or more of the three areas of emphasis that the United Way works to accomplish; health, educational success and financial stability. More information on the exemptions and requirements of 501(c)(3) organizations can be found on the IRS website.
The nonprofit applicant must also provide services in Henry County, Stark County or both. To apply, contact the KAUW for additional information at kewaneeareaunitedway@kewanee.com. All new applicants must also complete an in-person interview with the Board of Directors, if requested.
KAUW has been moving towards a simpler method of applying for an agency grant for the last several years and are happy to announce that the process is now complete.
The online grant application will be available from May 23 to June 23, 2023.
