Kewanee School Board President Dr. Jeff Johnson participated in the recent Consortium of State School Boards Associations National Conference in Louisville.
Participants engaged in discussions focused on advancing student achievement, strengthening governance practices and supporting public education across the country.
Illinois was strongly represented, with 85 attendees advocating for the success of students and school communities statewide.
As board president, Johnson “continues to demonstrate a deep commitment to the mission of the Kewanee School District ensuring that district decisions align with the values of ‘Inspire the Mind. Honor the Heart,’” said Supt. Rebecca Baney. “His participation in national-level conversations reflects the district’s dedication to continuous improvement and staying at the forefront of educational leadership.”
The Illinois delegation, supported by the Illinois Association of School Boards, collaborated with peers from across the nation to share best practices and explore innovative strategies that will directly benefit students, staff, and the broader Kewanee community, Baney said.
