Illinois Army National Guard hosts ‘Back to School Guard Night’ in Kewanee

Get ready to kick off the school year with excitement, challenges and a firsthand look at the mission of the Illinois Army National Guard.

On Thursday, August 8 from 4-8 p.m. the National Guard will host a Back-to-School Guard Night at 111 N. East St., in Kewanee. The ILARNG invites the public to an action-packed evening filled with fun, food and an inside peek at what it means to serve.

Event Highlights:

● Participate in an informative Q&A session to learn more about the Guard’s mission and values
● Explore hands-on tactical equipment used by ILARNG soldiers
● Test your strength and agility on the obstacle course
● Get up close with tactical vehicles and discover their real-world use
● Compete for prizes and take home bragging rights
● Enjoy food and drinks while mingling with Guard members and the community

This is a free, family-friendly event designed to engage all ages and spark interest in the Guard’s impactful role in our state and nation.
