Wyatt Brieser, Hammond-Henry Hospital CEO, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis’ Who’s Who in America, according to a news release from hospital officials.
As in all Marquis’ Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
The news release states that “A distinguished expert in healthcare leadership and hospital administration for rural critical access hospitals, Brieser has dedicated over 15 years to advancing the quality and sustainability of healthcare in west central Illinois. His career is marked by a steady progression through increasingly responsible roles at Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo, where he currently serves as Chief Executive Officer.”
Prior to assuming his role as CEO, Brieser was vice president of Operations at Hammond-Henry Hospital from 2023 to 2025. “In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in operational oversight, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting the hospital’s mission to deliver accessible healthcare services to individuals and families throughout the region.”
Known for his dedication to service beyond the workplace as well, Brieser is civically engaged through active involvement with organizations such as Kiwanis Club and Rotary International.
Born in Mineral, Ill., and raised on a farm before relocating to Atkinson at age 5, Brieser’s upbringing instilled in him the values of hard work and community connection. He comes from an extensive family network that is deeply rooted in west central Illinois, providing him with enduring support throughout his life and career. His grandmother Doris and mother Anita have been particularly influential pillars of encouragement.
“Today, Brieser is happily married to his wife Hannah, together, they have three young children who bring him immense joy and inspire him daily,” the news release said.
“Determined to further his impact on rural healthcare in Illinois, Brieser aims to further establish Hammond-Henry Hospital as a destination where providers want to practice medicine, employees aspire to work, and community members can seek the highest quality of care. He also plans to increase his involvement with policy initiatives through organizations such as the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network – ICAHN and Illinois Hospital Association – IHA.
