Aug. 28:
Police assisted a business with banning a customer who had been unruly the previous day in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street.
Jessica Matzen, 25, Galva, was issued administrative warning tickets (AWTs) for allowing a dog to run at large and also for failure to have valid rabies vaccination on a pet after police responded to a complaint involving a pit bull attacking another dog and its handler in the 500 block of NW 1st Street.
Allen Shoen, 33, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance and failure to secure new registration upon transfer of ownership of a vehicle following a traffic stop in the 800 block of SE 2nd Street. He was released with a required court date.

Patrick Toms, 20, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while license is suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Center Avenue. He was taken to the Henry County Jail for intake.

Police responded to a report involving the theft of a bicycle in the 500 block of NW 2nd Street. It was recovered later in the day.

Thomas Hockett, 67, Galva, was arrested for domestic battery following a report of a physical domestic disturbance in the 200 block of SW 6th Street. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Police responded to a complaint involving criminal damage to property in the 100 block of NE 9th Street.
