Dec. 2:
Police responded to a possible violation of an order of protection in the 400 block of SW 1st Avenue. The complaint was unfounded.
Police responded to an ongoing harassment complaint in the 400 block of SW 1st Avenue.
Police were called for a mental health evaluation at a residence on SE 3rd Street.
Dec. 3:
A citizen was assisted in the 300 block of NW 4th Avenue.
Police responded to a reported natural gas leak in the 900 block of North Center Avenue. Ameren also responded and was able to shut off the gas.
Police responded to a missing person-adult report in the 600 block of North Center Avenue.
Police responded to a verbal domestic disturbance in the 100 block of SE 2nd Street.
Dec. 4:
While patrolling, police located an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch on Bonham Road just west of town.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line call in Veterans Park. It was a misdial.
Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on SW 1st Avenue. The subject was fine.
Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on East Division Street.
While patrolling, police noticed a crossing arm malfunction at the Chester Street and NE 2nd Street train tracks. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Police responded to a loose dog complaint in the 100 block of NW 6th Avenue. The animal returned home on its own.
Police, along with deputies from Henry County, responded to a complaint of a suicidal subject with a knife to their own throat at a residence on NW 4th Street. After an extended time, the subject surrendered and was taken by ambulance for evaluation/treatment.
Dec. 5:
Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line call in the 500 block of SW 6th Avenue. It was determined to be a misdial.
Police assisted a motorist who locked their keys inside a vehicle in the 200 block of Morgan Road. A family member brought a spare key.
Police assisted a motorist who had slid off the roadway west of town on Route 34. A friend was able to pull the vehicle out of the ditch.
Police responded to a runaway juvenile complaint in the 200 block of NW 7th Avenue. The juvenile was located at a friend’s house and returned home.
Dec. 6:
Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang up call in the 00 block of SE 2nd Avenue. The officer was not able to make contact with anyone at the residence.
Ryley Rafferty, 24, Galva, was arrested for domestic battery and unlawful restraint, following a report of a physical domestic disturbance in progress in the 400 block of NE 3rd Street. He was taken to Henry County Jail.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line complaint in the 400 block of James B Young Road. It was determined to be a construction worker who had a pocket dial.
Dec. 7:
Police assisted Henry County with a traffic stop and vehicle search in the 00 block of NW 8th Avenue. This resulted in an arrest for methamphetamine possession and a full nationwide warrant with no bond. Henry County transported the subject to Henry County Jail.
Police were notified that a subject who was entered as a missing person-adult last week had been located in Laguna Beach, Calif.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line call in the 00 block of NE 8th Street. It was determined to be a misdial.
Police responded to a loud music complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. The complaint was unfounded.
While patrolling, police located a vehicle that had slid off the roadway in the 700 block of SW 4th Street. A friend nearby was able to use a truck to pull it back onto the roadway.
