“Kewanee attorney, amateur photographer and cave explorer Russell T. Neville took probably the first aerial photos of Kewanee in 1925 from the second cockpit of the plane of his friend, Kewanee pilot Fred Machesney. Many of those photos can be seen on the Kewanee Historical Society’s website under the “Photos” tab and the “Dusty Roads-Kewanee History” tab. But this is most likely the very first aerial film of Kewanee.”
