Both local schools compete in Titan Invitational

Noah Feltner led the Annawan-Wethersfield boys cross country team to a fifth-place finish this week in the Annawan-Wethersfied Titan Invitational meet at Midland Golf Course.

Feltner finished seventh in the individual scoring, running the course in 16.44. Daylon Hendrix of the Titans ran 14th in 17:30. Other Titans in the race were Cash Verstraete 22nd, 17:52; and Miles Wied 32nd in 18:26. Payson Shrum placed 62nd.

Stark County’s Evan Knoblock finished first for the boys in a time of 16:03. The Rebels placed seventh as a team.

Kewanee was led by Jason Rusk, 49th in 19:49; and Anthony Padilla finished with a personal best of 21:17.

In the girls varsity race Kewanee’s Jendayia Crowe finished 31st with a time of 22:54 and Esmerelda Martinez finished in 26:42. 

In the 1.5 mile open race Jordan Housley was first overall with a time of 9:32. Tiffany Helton finished the open in 15:22.
