
The Kewanee High School boys track team traveled to the Westwood indoor facility in Rock Falls Monday for its first track meet of the year.
The team finished third out of five teams.
The Boilers were led by Anthony Padilla’s first in the 60 meter hurdles and the 4×800 meter relay of Hunter Vancil, Lain Taylor, Michael Bermudez and Damareon Thomas which tied for first.
Second-place finishes came from Chris Crowe in the long jump, Jesus Del Toro in the 60 meter hurdles and Vancil in the 800 meters.
Third-place finishes went to Dontel Wommack in pole vault, Crowe in high jump and Taylor in the 800.
Kewanee will be at the Silver Streak Invitational in Galesburg for their next competition on March 21.
