
Kewanee’s Boiler Girls basketball team notched a 46-27 win over Stark County.
Audrey Clucas had 16 points, all in first half, for the Boiler Girls.
Stark County led 9-8 at the end of the first quarter, but the Boiler Girls pulled ahead and led 26-16 at halftime.
Damaris Diaz had 14 points, 10 in the second half. She and Addison Yepson had 16 of the Boiler GIrs’ 20 second-half points.
Coley Johnson led the Lady Rebels with 13 points.
“The defense was really good,” Coach Dave Wallace said. He said this was the fifth game in which Kewanee gave up fewer than 35 points.
