The varsity Boiler Girls’ season ended Tuesday with a 46-35 loss to Rock Island Alleman in the semifinals of the St. Bede Regional.
Kewanee trailed by just two after one quarter and by four at halftime, and their deficit was just five points after three quarters.
But Alleman outscored the Boiler Girls 15-9 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Damaris Diaz led Kewanee with 16 points, while Audrey Clucas added 12.
