A Kewanee man faces charges of possession of child pornography after a cyber tip by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office led to an investigation.
Matthew C. Derr, 31, was arrested following an investigation by the Kewanee Police Department’s Investigations Division.
Derr was processed by the KPD and released. He is scheduled to appear at the Henry County Courthouse on June 3.
Possession of child pornography is a Class 2 felony, punishable by three to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and a mandatory fine of up to $100,000.
