
Annawan-Wethersfield’s boys and girls golf teams both finished second to Mercer County in triangular meets Wednesday at Midland Country Club.
The boys team carded a team score of 191, six strokes higher than Mercer County’s 185. Galva was third with 200 strokes.
For A-W, Daylon Hendrix led with a score of 43. Seth Moore and Caleb McGill both shot 47, and Drew Wise shot 54.
Braden Murphy and John Ingles of Galva both shot 49, while JP Sloan shot 50 and MJ Louck shot 52.
Match medalist was Mercer County’s Carson Boelens with a 41.
The A-W girls team score was 233, nine strokes behind Mercer County.
Leading the Lady Titans was Katie Attig with a 57. Laylah Kraft shot 58, Elizabeth McGill had a 59 and Traiden Hier shot 60.
Darby Balmer of Mercer County was the medalist with a 51.
Galva fielded only two golfers. Tori Conner shot 69, and Olivia Calderon shot 80.
