Hooppole Fun Day will turn 50 years this summer and a big celebration is planned to coincide with America 250.
The decades-long event returns on Saturday, June 27 with a full day of family activities, live music, a parade and fireworks.

The festivities kick off early in Hooppole with the popular pie judging contest at 9:15 a.m. After the judging has completed the pies will then be available for purchase at a pie auction, where all proceeds will go to support Hooppole Fun Day.
At 9:45 a.m. the parade participants will begin lining up with the parade taking place at 10 a.m. Immediately following the parade, the festivities shift into high gear with family activities for all ages.
Kids can enjoy bounce houses, a kids pedal tractor pull, the penny scramble, the traditional cake walk and the always-entertaining frog jumping and toad races, where kids are welcome to enter their own frog.
For adults and teens there are numerous recreational sporting events taking place that include a pool tournament, mud volleyball games, Rolle Bolle and bags tournaments. The afternoon will also feature Bingo with the first two rounds reserved exclusively for kids. There will also be classic carnival games, a paper plate toss and kids’ raffle drawings.
Throughout the day, attendees are encouraged to cast their votes for the 2026 Lil Mr. and Miss Hooppole, with the official presentation of the winners taking place at 5:30 p.m.
That evening the 50th annual celebration continues with live music by the Dani Lynn Howe Band, who will take the stage from 7 to 11 p.m. The grand finale of Hooppole Fun Day will be an America 250 themed fireworks display at dusk.
