On March 21, the varsity AW Titans softball team played the Alleman Pioneers in a doubleheader, where Alleman defeated the Titans both times.

The game began with Lauren Davis of Annawan on the mound. The first batter set a good tone for the game with a single. The Pioneers scored three runs before the end of the top of the first.

The Titans were unable to score in the first inning, but they scored their first and only run in the bottom of the second.

Despite the extreme efforts from the Titans, they had trouble keeping up with the Pioneers in a 1-10 loss.

They didn’t let the loss shake their focus. The Titans opened game two with renewed energy. Unfortunately, the Pioneers defeated the Titans 0-15 the second time around.

The contest ended after four innings, and the Titans shifted immediately into preparations for their next game.
