KEWANEE WEATHER

Out & About this weekend, Feb. 6-8

By Diane Tucker    February 6, 2026

As winter wears on, the majority of the upcoming weekend activities still revolve around school sports with a couple good exceptions.

On Saturday the Historical Society will hold their monthly Coffee Tawk at their museum at 9 a.m. This month’s topic will be “Healthcare in Kewanee.”

Later that evening the Henry County Fair will hold a Trivia Night at Midland Golf Club at 6 p.m.

On Sunday afternoon Crossroads Cultural Connections will present Irene’s Entropy at Bishop Hill Creative Commons at 107 E. Bergland St. There will be a community potluck from 2-3 p.m. with the concert beginning at 3 p.m. They guarantee those attending will be home in plenty of time for the Super Bowl.

Later on Sunday, whip up some nachos, grab your favorite drink and find the most comfortable chair and enjoy the Super Bowl or at least its half-time entertainment and commercials.
