Kewanee police blotter for Sept. 11

A damage-only traffic accident involving vehicles operated by Arely Hernandez, 26, Kewanee, and Susan R. Draminski, 59, Kewanee, was reported in the 100 block of East Division Street. No injuries were reported. Hernandez was cited for failure to yield on a left turn.

Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of North Chestnut Street.

An animal at large was impounded in the 100 block of South Maple Avenue.

An animal at large was reported on Cole Street.

Police responded to a report of retail theft in the 800 block of Tenney Street.

A domestic disturbance was reported at Seventh and East streets.

Police responded to a report of criminal trespass to residence in the 300 block of North East Street.

Police responded to a report of animal abuse and neglect in the 200 block of South Maple Street.

Police responded to a report of animal abuse and neglect in the 600 block of West Central Boulevard.

Gilbert A. Simmons, 44, Kewanee, was arrested in the 200 block of Tenney Street on a Henry County warrant for violation of order of protection, failure to appear for DUI, and DOC warrant for parole violation. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.
