Senior Lajaya Angel achieved a major milestone in her basketball career on Dec. 28, scoring her 1,000th career point during the Warkins Classic against Stockton.
A four-year varsity standout, Angel reached the mark with a smooth three-pointer in the first quarter.
This accomplishment is another highlight in an already illustrious career. In addition to her scoring prowess, Angel set the school record for most rebounds in a single season last year, tallying an impressive 326 boards during her junior campaign.
Her ability to dominate both offensively and on the glass has made her a key figure in the program’s success.
Reaching the 1,000-point milestone on a big stage like the Warkins Classic underscores Angel’s hard work and consistency over her four years on varsity.
With the remainder of her senior season still ahead, she looks to continue adding to her legacy and leading her team to new heights.
