If you like the old-time rock and roll, stop by Veterans Park Thursday evening for a concert by the Incredible 45s.
The band, consisting of Tom Campbell and Mike Berry on guitar and vocals, Bob McKee on bass and Chris Cinnamon on drums and vocals, plays music you may have heard on WLS Radio or the Ed Sullivan Show back in the 1960s and 1970s.
Their repertoire features songs by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Hollies, Tommy and James and the Shondells, Neil Diamond and more.
If you like to dance, the band will be playing in the park’s gazebo right next to a dance floor.
The Incredible 45s performance is this week’s Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Concert in the Park event. The music starts at 6:30 p.m.
The final two concerts in the series will be on Aug. 15, by Crooked Cactus Band AKA Los Nopales Chuecos, and on Aug. 22 by Lyle Beaver & the Brass Notes.
Food will be available prior to the concert, provided by the Kewanee High School FFA chapter.
