Feb. 4:
Police removed a deer carcass from the roadway at the north edge of Galva.
Police assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in the car in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.
Tarleton’s Garage was contacted, and they were able to unlock it.
Police provided a subject with a Freedom of Information Act request form at the Galva Police Department.
Police spoke with a subject by telephone about a child custody dispute.
Police assisted court services with a compliance check in the 00 block of Wallace Street.
Police responded to a report of a suicidal subject who was making threats of self harm at a residence on SE 2nd Street. The subject was transported by ambulance for evaluation/treatment.
Police attempted to locate a semi truck that was losing part of its load at the east edge of town.
Feb. 5:
Jason Sherbeyn, 49, Kewanee, was arrested on a LaSalle County warrant for failing to appear on the charge of retail theft following the confirmation of information through LEADS by police who stopped the subject in the 300 block of Market Street. He was transported to Henry County Jail.
Police conducted a welfare check on a resident at Sentry Estates. The subject was located with no signs of life. The coroner was contacted and responded.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street. The officer was unable to locate anyone needing assistance.
Police responded to a verbal disagreement and ongoing harassment complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.
Police and Stark County Medic were dispatched to a medical emergency involving an unresponsive infant on SE 3rd Street.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang up in the 700 block of NW 1st Street. It was determined to be a child playing with a phone.
